John the Beloved Disciple

Jesus-calls-disciplesJohn was one of Jesus very closest friends. He was one of the first people he called to follow him and not only served as one of Jesus’ inner circle known as The Twelve but along with his brother, James, and Peter got to witness and hear things that the rest of The Twelve didn’t. In the Gospel that John wrote, he only refers to himself as “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” John was the only one of The Twelve to die of natural causes though he suffered much for his proclamation of the Good News. He is credited with writing the Bible books that bear his name as well as the Book of Revelation.

As someone who’s close to Jesus, it’s your job to tell others about him.
