Mary Magdalene

alabaster_box_lgMary was one of Jesus’ best friends. She, her sister Martha and her brother Lazarus hosted Jesus when he was in Jerusalem. On the week of Jesus’ death, she came into a house where he was eating and broke a jar of ointment (which was worth one year’s wages) and poured the contents on Jesus feet. Jesus’ disciples scolded her for making such a waste but Jesus held her up as an example of extravagant love. He declared that wherever people told his story, they should tell hers too. You can share his story and her story by sharing your results on the Jesus Quiz.
